the story behind the art: December harbors many holy celebrations for multiple cultures and traditions. This was my thought as I sat down to create. The term holy was on my mind along with the line from a Justin Bieber song where he repeats the word holy several times.
What does it mean to be holy? And, what does that look like in a secular or non-religious bound context?
I was reminded of Gabrielle Bernstein’s explanation of the holy instant. It means to release the ego’s fear-based thought system and accept your inner guide’s loving thought system. We are not responsible for what we see but rather how we choose to perceive what we are seeing. Acknowledge your fear and choose to see love instead. Asè.
