Aurora Blue

The story behind the art: This canvas was worked on for several months maybe even a year. It’s been painted and repainted over and then became an experimental scratch pad that led to the texture of what became the mountains for this art piece. I flew to Finland for my 40th birthday to see the Northern Lights from a small village in Ivalo. I wanted to incorporate the sense peace and awe I felt during my stay and combined it with mountains which also bring me a sense of peace.
