Hey, Y’all.

A Black queer woman is wearing a light blue blazer, black blouse, vintage 90s ripped jeans, classic white and black stripped Adidas, and vibrant red lipstick. She is posing in chair that’s backwards and has a big smile in the middle of laughing.

Andrea G. Hardeman, M.S.

Have you ever experienced a happy accident? Well, that’s what painting was for me. I bought a few canvas panels, acrylic paint, and brushes in 2020 to process everything that was happening. I never dreamed my art would be meaningful to anyone but me. I’ve watched strangers cry, feel visible relief, and have lightening-like joy experiencing my art and the stories behind each piece. And I’m glad you’re here, and I’m excited to share my art and heart with you.

Creating a space that allows others to feel seen and see themselves more clearly is at the core of my every endeavor. My art and poetry are at the intersection of creativity and mental well-being. I truly believe that art can heal individuals and bring new life into a space. It’s in this spirit that began teaching Art Flow (Intuitive Painting) classes to help others find grounding and tap into their creative flow.

I am humbled and grateful to be featured artist at Urban Arts Gallery and a co-curator at The Leonardo Museum. And for the incredible opportunities I’ve had to show my work at The Leonardo Museum and the 2023 NBA All-Star Games.
